Ever since I learned to appreciate the pleasure of flying, I also became an avid customer of Cebu Pacific. Although a bit junior to the much older Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific combined both innovation, creativity and practicality in order to be in front of the pack in the Airline industry. Cebu Pacific had been very aggressive in making ways to respond to customer's needs and in making it easier for customers have a pleasant flying experience. Before I give out my tips about flying Cebu Pacific and its website let us digest a background of the carrier:
Background
Background
- Cebu Pacific started in 1996 with a promise to give "low fare, great value" to anyone who wants to fly
- the carrier catered to the domestic demand until November 2001 wherein it operated internationally catering to flights going to mostly Asian destinations where shopping and sightseeing is the attraction
- currently the carrier has 29 airbuses and 8 ATR 72-500 aircraft, considered still the youngest fleet in the Philippines
- first to introduce e-ticketing, prepaid excess baggage and seat selection; in-flight games called Fun Flights with entertaining flight magazine - SMILE
e-Tickets
Cebu Pacific as stated above is the first to introduce e-tickets wherein it's most convenient for customers as it eliminates the hassle of taking care of your traditional paper tickets whereas upon the lost of such ticket, you also forfeit your claim of the seat reservation you have paid for. Another convenience for e-tickets is you can print limitless number of copy of your flight whenever, wherever there is a computer and an internet connection. The convenience of getting an e-ticket online is also a plus for customers with the ability to pay for the tickets in 3 ways:
- Credit Cards. The online tickets can be purchased and paid for using any credit cards at your disposal.
- Bancnet ATMs. The carrier website caters to Bancnet ATMs with the convenience of a click on your bank accounts for those who cannot afford or not able to acquire credit cards. (Online banking is a feature nearly if not pioneered by Bancnet)
- Payment Centers. Without both credit card or ATM cards, one can still avail of the benefits of online e-tickets through payments centers that are available almost everywhere including BDO banks and ATMs, LBC, etc.
Booking a Cebu Pacific ticket had been the easiest way without the need to go to any ticketing office or making a phone call.
There are basically 6 steps in booking your next flight:
- Search Flights.
- Select Flights.
- Guest Details.
- Add-ons Optional.
- Payment Options.
- Itinerary Receipt.
